UOW Early Admission is our early offer program for students finishing Year 12 in 2026 (HSC or other Australian equivalents).
Instead of relying solely on your final year 12 results, we consider your Year 11 performance as well as your skills, and experiences; giving you the chance to secure a place in the right degree at UOW before your final exams even begin.
UOW is experiencing exceptionally high demand for 2027 entry.

Now that Early Admission applications have closed, UOW academic staff will assess your application against course admissions criteria and the UOW Indicators of Success - the skills and attributes which will make you a great UOW student!
On Thursday, 17 September, you will receive an email containing the assessment outcome for each of your course preferences.
You will receive one outcome for each of the courses course you applied for. An outcome will be one of the following:
If you receive an Early Admission offer, you will not need to accept the offer immediately. There will be a place for you in the course/s that you are offered, and we will be in touch when it is time to start your enrolment.
If you receive an offer, you should celebrate! But don’t forget to focus on your final exams as we expect all successful applicants to complete their final year of high school. A condition of the offer is that you must be awarded the Higher School Certificate, IB Diploma or interstate equivalent.
If your Early Admission application is unsuccessful; this means UOW is unable to make you an offer to your chosen course based on your year 11 results and your responses to the Indicators of Success. You can still apply to this course who (in most cases) will assess your application based on your eventual ATAR.
We will communicate with you via email to make sure you know what you need to do and when.
We will need to contact you after you leave school and into 2027, so please use a personal email address (not your school-allocated email address) that you check regularly.

If you submit your UOW Early Admission application by Sunday, 9 August 2026, you won’t need to reapply through the main round UAC process.
You can apply for up to two UOW courses through Early Admission. If you're interested in more than two, you can also apply via the to include up to five additional courses. UAC applications for 2026 are open now, and Early Bird applications close in September. Check for more information.

We suggest that you wait for the outcome of your application to be sent to you on Thursday 17 September. If you wish to change the course or campus, you can contact us to discuss your options. You can also lodge a (which is separate to your Early Admission application) for up to five courses that you're interested in as well as (but not including) the course you have applied for via Early Admission.
You will receive an email on Thursday 17 September with an outcome and next steps for each of your Early Admission course preferences. The email will be sent to the email address you entered in your application.
If you applied for two courses, you will receive two emails - not necessarily at the same time.

Your Early Admission offer is conditional upon successfully completing your HSC / International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (or equivalent). Keep working hard during your final assessment and exams.
Offers are not conditional on your ATAR or final mark/grade/rank.

If you intend on enrolling in the course to which you have been made an offer to via Early Admission – you do not need to participate in a UAC application.
A place is reserved for you in the UOW course(s) you’ve been offered. There’s no need for you to formally accept the offer. You can enrol in your course starting in December 2026. We will be in touch with details after you reveive your offer/s.
This means we are unable to offer you a place in the course that you applied for at this time.
There are still other pathways and options available. Our team will automatically asses you for a that is a pathway to the UOW Bachelor degree you applied for. If you are eligible, you will receive an Early Admission offer from UOW College, that will be 'packaged' with a UOW bachelor course.
This means that if you successfully complete your UOW College course and meet the UOW progression requirements, you will be guaranteed a place in the UOW bachelor course with up to one year credit.
While you study with UOW College, highly qualified staff will ensure you develop the skills and attributes necessary to succeed at UOW.

Yes - and you should!
No matter your situation, a scholarship can help you succeed at UOW. Studying can be costly, but we offer a range of scholarships to help with things like living expenses, textbooks, or course fees.
Applications for Future Students generally open in July. You may apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible for.

Accommodation applications are open now at the UOW Accommodation website. You don’t need to wait for a confirmed offer to study at UOW before applying. We recommend applying as early as possible to increase your chances of securing your preferred accommodation option.
If you apply for, and are successful for Early Admission to UOW; and apply for accommodation by Friday 28 August, you can expect an accommodation offer from Thursday 17 September.
UOW’s Student Privacy & Disclosure statement states that information about a student’s application cannot be disclosed to a third party without written and signed consent from the student.
As part of the Early Admission application, applicants (Year 12 students) will be able to enter the details of a person who they authorise to act on their behalf. If they choose to name someone, that person – and that person only – can also be provided with information about the student's application. 
If you are a parent or guardian seeking information regarding a student's application and you are not listed as an authorised person on their Early Admission application, you will need to ensure a is completed before we can respond. When completed, the consent form may be sent via email to futurestudents@uow.edu.au. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
This consent to release form covers students when they are applying for UOW. Once they are enroled, they are considered a current student, and a new updated consent form will be required.
