UOW is delighted to offer scholarships of $3,000 to regional students starting one of the below degrees at UOW Bega Valley, UOW Eurobodalla, UOW Shoalhaven, or UOW Southern Highlands.
The $3,000 Regional Kick Start scholarships aim to support regional students with resources and living costs during their first year of study and make it easier to undertake their uni study close to home. Applications are open to all students enrolled at a UOW Regional Campus.
Potential students* with an application or offer to start one of the below degrees at a UOW Regional location in the first semester (Autumn/February) 2026 are eligible to apply.
UOW Eurobodalla, UOW Bega Valley, UOW Shoalhaven, and UOW Southern Highlands provide students with a supportive, student-centred environment, face-to-face teaching, and interactive digital access to UOW lectures. Each campus is also a support hub for students studying online with UOW, offering academic and practical support during their studies.
The smaller cohort gave great depth to my experience, insights, encouragement and interactions. When you can see the passionate dedication of teachers, understand the importance of education, and share in that with like-minded people, anything is possible, and the learning is endless. Samantha, Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) - UOW Shoalhaven
Being able to study close to home means a lot to me. I don’t have to travel away from my family, plus I can continue to work in the local hospital and be around my friends. The people on campus are all friendly and support each other. My fellow students and tutors make the campus feel like a community. Mohammad, B Nursing - UOW Bega Valley
Receiving a scholarship motivated me to maintain a credit average, cut back on the hours I worked per week, and helped with my university costs. I'm thankful to UOW for the confidence and willingness to help me achieve my goals. Claudia, Graduate, Bachelor of Nursing - UOW Bega Valley
